how long does it take after being served before wages are garnished and do they notify you before they do?
About three months ago my husband was served by a creditor and given a month to send in a written response. We are in a bit of debt and after being served we attained a bankruptcy lawyer who said not to send in a response only problem is he still hasn’t filed our bankruptcy with the court yet. So im wondering how long does it take after being served before wages are garnished and do they notify you before they do?

I’m unsure what "served by a creditor" means. If a complaint was served against you it would be served by the court showing the creditor as the plaintiff. The complalint would state the time available for you to answer. If you do not, the creditor will generally obtain a summary judgment (win by default). You would be notified of that and have time to appeal. If you do not appeal and win the judgment becomes final. The creditor can then file a notice of garnishment with the court. You would not be pre-notified.

If you make no defense, figure that it would take about 6 weeks from the date the court set as your date to answer by. RJ

If you don’t answer by the deadline, the creditor moves for a default judgment which is granted fairly quickly. The default judgment allows the creditor to garnish your wages. Typically, the only notice you may get is from your HR department. Often, the first you know about it is when your pay check is smaller than usual.

Illustrated Man which one was him strangling his wife?
Hi. I am looking for the name of the story that has the illustrated man strangle his wife. She gets mad that he got the tattoo on his back, or his chest of him killing her. He says he didn’t know…she keeps nagging and eventually he does it.

I’m pretty sure that you’re talking about the short story "The Illustrated Man" by Ray Bradbury. I read it in a collection of his short stories called The Vintage Bradbury.

As far as I can remember, the illustrated man was originally a fat man who can no longer draw crowds at a circus. So he decides to become a tattooed man. However, his tattoos are alive and tell stories. One that he had covered up on his arm? showed him strangling his wife. Once he reveals it, that picture becomes true (he strangles his wife, Lizbeth).

I want to make my makeup this halloween this year really good and I want to be a corpse bride. I know how to make fake wounds but thats it. I have fake blood aswell and I’ve got a bit of halloween makeup but I dont know how to use it!!

put lots of mascara on your top and bottome eyelashes and lots of eyeliner too. Make everything else pale including your lips. So you’ll have very dark eyes and a pale face.

I get a refund during the grace period on a credit card statement, can I reduce the payment accordingly?
I had a credit card statement of 1000. Within 4 days I get a refund of 200 during the grace period of 15 days. The payment date then follows 11 days later and the credit card company still try to take 1000 - so making my credit card a positive balance - which is not what I want! Can I insist on only paying 800? They then tell me that I will be charged to taking cash out of a positive balanced credit card. Can they do that?

What is stupid is that if I dispute 200 - they will only take 800. Some credit card companies do not do this - but if you stop the direct debit (especially on a charge card) and just pay the actual account balance - then there is no charge.

If I decide to pay my bill in 3 parts for example during the grace period so the total is paid then that is not a problem: as long as the whole amount is paid. Well that is effectively what is happening here - but one part is paid by the refund. How can this be justified?

Both you and the credit card company are trying to use the rules to their advantage. That is why I do NOT set up auto-pay agreements when I can pay on line myself. However, if I forget to make the payment, then I am up the creek. Auto-pay arrangements avoid forgetfulness.

Some credit card companies do reduce the minimum payment by the credits when they are on the account books. Some do not do so until the bill is printed which would place the 200 against the next payment.

You need to review the minimum payment schedule for the account. It should also have information how credits are applied.

When you do in fact have a credit balance after paying off the account, most will send you a refund check without a fee. Verify that with this account.

I think Nene is very ghetto. Kandi carries herself like a woman. The only thing is she probably should lose AJ I am not feeling them together. But other than that Nene is always loud and arguing. I think their may be some jealousy on her part. Also it was nice they put focus on something with Lisa and her family instead of just showing the women feuding.

I think Nene is just jealous of Kandi…what other reason would she have for calling her ghetto?? BTW i think it was hilarious how Lisa and Sheree were singing making fun of Kim at the King Tut thing…lmao sooo funny..

Order for reading the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice?
I know for the Vampire Chronicles the order is:
Interview with the Vampire
The Vampire Lestat
The Queen of the Damned
Tale of the Body Thief
Memnoch the Devil
The Vampire Armand
Merrick
Blood & Gold
Blackwood Farm
Blood Canticle

I want to know WHERE the Tales of the Witches fall into that timeline. Where do I need to read each of the Witches books in order to know the characters/events taking place in the Vampire Chronicles. Also, do the New Tales of the Vampires (Pandora and Vittorio the Vampire) tie in with the Vampire Chronicles? Are these new vampires in the series at all, if so- when should I read them?

Should I just go by the publication dates?

And if you want to be AMAZING, with your listing of the order of the books– rate each book out of 5! I have only read the first 3 in the series.

Why not just read them in the order they were published? Even if some books were intended to be prequels or whatnot, she released them in a specific order. I would read them in that order.

It scares me to think that someone may watch Star Wars Episode 1-3 before the originals. Just because they take place earlier in the store doesn’t necessarily mean that they should be read/watched first. Then again, this is just a general commentary on order, not specific to the Rice novels.

the first three are the only ones worth reading,,,after i read memnoch,,it was so bad i quite reading them. i read lestate, interview, and queen in that order..lestat and queen being the best. far as i can tell, the witches series refered to the talamasca and david talbot (the people who observe paranomal stuff),,who was introduced in queen. you can buy autographed copies pretty cheap on ebay…i’d get hardbacks if you can.

I read the Mayfair Witch books before the Vampire books, but the witched do not actually play a part in the Vampire Chronicles until Merrick so I would just read them before then and then the rest if the Vampire books will probably make more sense.

Pandora and Vittorio are not really part of the series, but Pandora is pretty interesting (the same cannot be said for the big "V"). Pandora has a minor role in some of Lestat’s books, but nothing too major.

Rating wise, the Witching Hour is my favorite and them the rest of the witch series goes downhill. My favorite vampire books are:The Vampire Lestat, Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil and Blackwood Farm. The rest are pretty good too, just more forget-able.

Falcon - EA Falcon constantly cutting out when hot, what can make this happen?

I have an EA Falcon that has been cutting out at unusual times, when simly driving along, when sitting at lights with the engine at idel. At times the engine will simply restart while at others I mst sit there for five minutes before it will start again. I have had all of the leads replaced, together with the distributor cap and rotor, but the problem is continuing. 4 mechanics have not been able to diagnose the problem.

sounds alot like the module it was a really comon problem on ford vehicles when it cools down it works when its hot it doesent best guess i can give you without looking at the car, next time it happens see if your getting fuel and spark and if its injected see if theres injector pulses that should help narrow it down

if it is a fuel injected engine change the fuel filter you will be amazed at the dirt in fuel.i change mine every year and always has dirt in it. it might be the modual or the pickup in the distributor
